Dear Clients of Carolina Value Pet Care,
As my wife Catherine and I begin to write a new chapter in our lives, I am thrilled to announce that I have recently sold my ownership of Carolina Value Pet Care to our long-time associate Dr. Trenna Manwarren. Dr. Trenna has played a vital role in our growth and success over the past several years, and she fully embraces the continued need to offer affordable vaccines and preventive medication to pet owners in our area.
I am well-aware that many of you have no idea who I am since you may attend clinics where only I'd like to Dr. Trenna works. Or perhaps your pets have only seen one of our rock-star veterinary technicians Kris and Sonia, and on occasion Zach, Bailee, and Amanda, as well as Laura and Becky, for your pets’ vaccines, etc. So if you have no idea who in the world I am, that’s perfectly OK. Carolina Value Pet Care has always been about the individuals who collectively make up this tremendous team. Rest assured that the team members you see at our clinics will continue to be familiar faces to you with each of your visits going forward.
I will continue to work at a few clinics each month through the end of the year (then perhaps on an as-needed basis in 2025) as I ease into retirement after more than 42 years as a practicing veterinarian. It has been my privilege, my pleasure and my sincere honor to serve you and your pets in a multi-county area for the past 11+ years. Gratitude is a powerful emotion, and it’s imperative that I give well-deserved recognition to 3 groups of individuals.
I would first like to express my profound thanks to my team members who believed in our dream and our mission to provide affordable pet services within our local communities. Without the commitment, dedication, and efforts of my teammates, we could never have served so many people and pets.
I am also so thankful for our hosts. We set up at a wide range of locations, and with their gracious consent, we have been given the opportunity to create the space that’s needed to serve you.
And last, but by no means least, I am equally humbled that each of you, our customers, have entrusted us to care for your pets for these past 11+ years. Without your support and trust in us, and certainly your attendance, we simply wouldn’t exist.
I am fortunate that I found my greatest passion within my long veterinary career in these past 12 years since creating Carolina Value Pet Care. I began working for a veterinarian in my hometown of Nashville, Tennessee, in the mid-1970s as I straddled high school and college. Essentially, I have been deeply immersed in this extraordinary career for 50 years. But I have truly experienced no greater joy within the profession than I have since we began CVPC in October 2012. God knows we’ve experienced all kinds of challenges that a brick-and-mortar full-service veterinary practice never has to face, but if I had to do it all over again, there’s no question about it … I’d absolutely do it all over again!
Thank you again for your support. Thank you again for your confidence in us. Thank you for the countless kind words you’ve expressed to our team. Thank you for loving your pets in the way you do.
And please continue to support Carolina Value Pet Care, and allow Dr. Trenna and her amazing team to take care of your pets in the best way they know how. I wish each of you and your beloved pets the very, very best.
